Reports in Australia are suggesting that Canberra Raiders’ Blake Austin could be set to join Warrington from 2019.

With marquee half-back Tyrone Roberts set to depart the club at the end of the current campaign, Steve Price’s men are now being linked with a move for 27-year-old Austin as a replacement. The playmaker was dropped for his team’s match last weekend and the speculation surrounding his future is believed to be the key reason why. Over the last few weeks, the former Portugal international has been linked with a clutch of clubs both in Super League and the NRL and, despite various Sydney clubs thought to be interested in his services, the possibility of a longer deal with the Wolves may well have swayed his decision.

Austin has made in excess of 100 NRL appearances since making his debut in 2011.
